Solar Rebate – Upcoming Changes

Originally the solar rebate programme started with offering up to half the cost of the system as a part of rebate that is $2225. But it was always planned to reduce over a period of time and it has happened so. New solar Victoria rebate changes are to be implemented from 1^st July 2021 – Less than a week away!  Solar panel rebates for owner occupiers and rental properties is at their current value of $1850 until 30 June 2021, further reducing to $1400.

Solar Victoria will continue to offer:

• Solar for Business rebates at the current value of $3,500 until the first 5,000 rebates have been fully allocated. They will then reduce to $1,750. 

• Solar battery rebates at the current value of $4,174 until all rebates available in 2020–21 have been fully allocated. They will then reduce to $3,500.

• Solar hot water rebates at the current value of $1,000 (depending on the cost of the system) throughout 2021–22.
